Not all smartphones come with a mini-HDMI connectivity. So what are users supposed to do if they have to connect their smart device with HDTV?!. MHL Adapter is a new interface which helps users connect devices with HDTVs or other entertainment products. These adapters support full 1080p video and digital audio. At the same time, it would provide power to the mobile device.
MHL stands for Mobile High-Definition Link. The consortium compromises of Nokia Corporation, Samsung Electronics, Silicon Image, Sony and Toshiba Corporation. Users can also find MHL for most HTC devices. It features a single cable with 5-pin interface which supports HD video and audio content.
Some of the new devices like Infuse 4G comes with an MHL adapter in box. Simply connect one end of the HDMI cable into MHL adapter and then connect the other end to HDTV. Make sure to connect travel charger to MHL adapter. It wont work till you do so. MHL Adapters can be bought from electronic Retail Stores, Amazon, Expansys and other retailers.
