Google recently announced over the earnings calls, that there have been more than 3 billion Android Apps installed on devices. Apart from that, the other big part of this call was that downloads of Android Apps are up by 50% from 2010 Q4.
Tech Crunch posted that Huber, Senior VP Commerce also mentioned that 350,000 Android devices are being activated every day. The strength is growing in U.S, Japan, Korea, and Europe specifically. Google apps are downloading rapidly just because of the number of Android devices available to consumer market in terms of smartphones and tablets.
